Six Direction Neck Flexibility Program

The following neck flexibility exercises should be performed every day to improve overall neck range of motion and flexibility. They are very safe exercises if performed properly and are designed to improve neck movement in order to reduce chronic pain and prevent future injuries. Perform each exercise on a daily basis – no equipment is required for any of the exercises. No pain should be associated with these exercises. If you do experience pain, discontinue the exercise.

These exercises can also be performed to increase strength in the neck muscles. Using your hands as resistance, push against your hand in all six directions, holding the push for 10 seconds. Progressive strength gains in your neck muscles will be noted over time.
